The Beginning

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Trisagion Prayers

O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life: come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (Thrice)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, cleanse us from our sins. O Master, pardon our iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy name's sake.

Lord, have mercy. (Thrice)

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Priest:For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

On Rising from Sleep

Having risen from sleep, we fall down before Thee, O Good One, and sing to Thee, O Mighty One, the angelic hymn: Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos have mercy on us.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Having raised me from my bed and from sleep, O Lord, enlighten my mind and my heart, and open my lips that I may praise Thee, O Holy Trinity: Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos have mercy on us.

Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Suddenly the Judge shall come, and the deeds of each shall be laid bare; but with fear let us cry at midnight: Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos have mercy on us.

A Prayer on Rising

O Lord, purify me a sinner, for I have never done anything good in Thy sight; deliver me from the evil one, and let Thy will be in me, that I may open mine unworthy mouth without condemnation and praise Thy holy name: of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Come, Let Us Worship

O come, let us worship and fall down before God our King.

O come, let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King and our God.

O come, let us worship and fall down before Christ Himself, our King and our God.

The Symbol of Faith

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father, by Whom all things were made;

Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man;

And was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried;

And arose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;

And ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father;

And shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead, Whose kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, Who proceedeth from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spake by the prophets.

I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.

Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos

O my most gracious Queen, my hope, O Mother of God, the protection of orphans and intercessor for strangers, the joy of those in sorrow, and shelter of the wronged: see my distress, see my affliction. Help me, for I am weak; feed me, for I am a stranger. Thou knowest mine offence: forgive it as thou wilt, for I know none other help but thee, none other intercessor nor good comforter but only thee, O Mother of God, to keep and protect me unto the ages of ages. Amen.
