Apostle Tychicus

The holy, glorious, all-laudable Apostle Tychicus (Greek Τυχικός; also Tychikos ) is one of the Seventy Apostles and was a bishop in Caesarea . He is commemorated by the Church on January 4 with the Seventy and on December 8 with Ss. Apollos , Cephas , Sosthenes , Epaphroditus , Caesar , and Onesiphorus .
St. Tychicus was a disciple and companion of the holy Apostle Paul . During St. Paul's first imprisonment, he delivered the Epistles to the Ephesians and to the Colossians . He replaced St. Sosthenes as bishop at Caesarea. He departed peacefully to the Lord.
