Daniel II of Pec

Our father among the saints Daniel II of Pec ( also Daniel, in Serbian: Свети Данило арxиепископ српски ) was a Serbian archbishop from 1324 to 1337. His feast is January 2 ( December 20 ) in the Julian Calendar ). He was a nobleman and was a part of the court of St. King Milutin of Serbia (1282-1321). He left the court for the Monastery of St. Nikolas in Končul.
Troparion
As a rule of faith and model of tenderness, and teacher of abstinence hath the reality shewn thee unto thy flock; there withal hast thou acquired by humility greatness, by poverty riches; O father hierarch Daniel, intercede before Christ the God that our souls may be saved.

O divine thunder, spiritual trumpet, planter of faith and cutter off of heresies, great favourite of the Trinity, hierarch Daniel, standing with the angels before God do ever and unceasingly pray for us all.
