Our father among the saints Colman of Lindisfarne was a monk of the seventh century church of Scotland and Ireland and abbot / bishop of the Monastery of Lindisfame in England. He led the Celtic party at the Synod of Whitby . His stand for the Celtic rite led to his identification as the Last Columban Abbot of Lindisfarne , Founder of Inishbofin and Mayo . His feast day is February 18 .

As a rule of faith and model of tenderness, and teacher of abstinence hath the reality shewn thee unto thy flock; there withal hast thou acquired by humility greatness, by poverty riches; O father hierarch Colman, intercede before Christ the God that our souls may be saved.
Kondak
O divine thunder, spiritual trumpet, planter of faith and cutter off of heresies, great favourite of the Trinity, hierarch Colman, standing with the angels before God do ever and unceasingly pray for us all.
