Konon Baštovan

Sveti mučenik Konon Baštovan je bio rodom iz Nazareta. Bio je blag i nezlobiv. U vreme gonjenja hrišćana od strane cara Decija Trajana mučen je za Hrista. Ipak on je osta čvrst u hrišćanskoj veri, a neznabožačke sudije oštro izobliči zbog njihove gluposti. S ekserima u nogama, vezan za kola kneževa, ovaj svetitelj bio je vučen sve dotle dokle nije sam iznemogao i pao. Tada se i poslednji put pomoli Bogu i predade Mu duh svoj 251. godine.
Srpska pravoslavna crkva slavi ga 5. marta po crkvenom, a 18. marta po gregorijanskom kalendaru.

Armed with the grace of the Spirit,
You crushed the power of ungodliness
And shone forth with miracles.

You glorify God, who through you grants us grace and great mercy!

Your holy martyrs Conan and Onesimus, O Lord,
Through their sufferings have received incorruptible crowns from You, our God.
For having Your strength, they laid low their adversaries,
And shattered the powerless boldness of demons.
Through their intercessions, save our souls!

Having lived on earth in purity, like an angel,
You were counted worthy to converse with the bodiless hosts.
You brought your parents to the knowledge of Christ
And having confessed the one God in Trinity,
You suffered to the shedding of your blood!
Martyr Conon, ever entreat him for the sake of us all!
