Miloš Crnjanski
Poet, novelist and diplomat
1893 – 1977
Miloš Crnjanski was one of the founders of Serbian modernism, a poet, novelist, journalist and diplomat. His novels Migrations and A Novel of London and his early Sumatraism poems made exile and displacement central themes of Serbian literature. He spent almost a quarter of a century in emigration in London before returning to Belgrade in 1965.
